Oscar, a 4 to 5 year old male Staffordshire Terrier, was taken to the DeZavala-Shavano Veterinary Clinic on July 7 by the Shavano Park police. He was found walking on Lockhill-Selma Road in Shavano Park, hungry, dirty, and had obviously been on the streets for quite some time, as he was in pretty rough shape. He was given a thorough physical exam, flea treatment, a microchip, was neutered, and given his first shots. The heartworm test was positive so Oscar is being treated for that. Kind neighbors and friends of the vet clinic came together to raise the money for Oscar's physical exam as well as his treatment. He was at the clinic for over 15 days, and they are going to miss him and his joyful disposition.
