Welcome to Katie's Roadside Rescue! We are an animal rescue with the primary mission of saving dogs that have been dumped in the country or by the side of the road to fend for themselves.
Smiley is a year old, smart, inquisitive, laid-back little man. He gets along great with other dogs but also does fine on his own. Sometimes I think he is trying to learn how to talk because he watches me so intently - listening to and absorbing every word. Smiley learned the doggy door without a hitch and always hits the potty pad right on target. He was born to stray parents in the country. Mom is a small to medium size white lab mix of 35-40 lbs and dad is unknown. Smiley will do best with older adults or no kids in the home so he can be fully dedicated to his parents. The transition will take time and patience but the rewards will be a lifetime of devoted love. He remains shy of strangers for some strange reason and children make him nervous (because they move so fast). He is fully vetted, microchipped and house trainined. Please consider giving Smiley a home of his own.
